Product description
Photographer Tomek Sikora, winner of many international and Polish awards, originator of the Homeless Gallery, is an artist who is a bit ‘contrarian’. When everything is grey, he finds colour, modifying our perception. He changes the space around himself and forces the viewer to look at what surrounds them differently. As he says: “For me, photography is a form of fun and causes constant exploration... Visually, its possibilities are endless, especially when it goes beyond established norms. A decisive moment when taking a photo can become the beginning of a fascinating journey at the end, the captured image of which is charged with strong emotions that may surprise even the author himself”. Looking at Tomek Sikora's photographs in our new album, we have the impression that we are participating in an extraordinary story: sometimes it is a Victorian horror novel, photo reportage, landscape, and sometimes it is an emotional diary of a young lady. Tomek Sikora, thanks to his exceptional sensitivity, teaches how to look for what cannot be seen. He shows, advises, transports you back in time, charms reality, stimulates emotions, and discovers. This photography allows us to do what almost everyone expects when entering a historic interior – to feel at least a little bit of what the former inhabitants felt, to see at least a little bit of the life that could have gone on here.
